Susanne B. Wilson Residence

Situated in the heart of downtown San Jose, this mixed-use facility – named in honor of BRIDGE and YWCA Board member Susanne Wilson, a former San Jose Councilmember and Santa Clara County Supervisor – includes 63 affordable apartments. Winner of a Gold Nugget Award for “Best in the West” from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference, the development features a variety of services, including an on-site child-care center, a fitness center, employment placement, and life-skills training. The development was a joint effort with the YWCA and was created on the site of the YWCA offices. The expanded YWCA offices are now housed on the first two floors.
